I was re-reading the last book in the Bartimaeus Trilogy and I always wished that Kitty and Nathaniel could have had a cheeky little kiss before the end. The middle picture is supposed to encompass the part when Nat summons Bartimaeus into himself but he's already in the park giving Kitty a quick kiss goodbye.

I really liked the sketch, based off a pose my cat was doing, so I went and coloured it. It's ok, but looks way too Photoshoped. Plus I kept messing up the tail.

I started a little project a while go to characiture all the runners for something fun to do and to get me practising more on Photoshop. I started with one of the simpler sketches, and have already learnt alot from it. This is still a WIP but was so much fun!!

Game Stuff

I've been working on same ideas for games and cme up with one where you play as Death's apprentice. I quite like the idea and have just been playing around with character designs and styles that could work.

WIP lip sync

I'm still pretty new to Maya and this is my first lip sync. It took a while to get to grips matching the mouth to the words but I really enjoyed doing the body language. The sound clip is from 40 Year Old Virgin, the rig from somewhere online.

Erm...hello?

Wow, blogs are scary places, but I flet it was about time I conquered this fear and just went for it. My name is Yasmine Altawell, Im' from England and I'm an animation student who's just about to graduate... woot! I've just finished directing my final year film called "Mousecapade", which I will hope to post up here soon. And when I say directing, I don't just mean directing I also mean that I animated, designed layouts and characters, coloured and cleaned up and traced. Quite a list. Phew. Anyway, just a brief introduction. I've seen some amazing stuff on here and I hope that some of the work I show doesn't fall too short of the mark!
